Marah is the mother of five children and was inspired by the support she received in the early days of breastfeeding her oldest child. She spent many hours reading articles and websites about breastfeeding. In 2011 she decided to become a La Leche League leader as a way to put her knowledge into practice. She gained more experience and knowledge counseling mothers as a WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor from 2012 until 2013. In 2013 she became a Certified Lactation Counselor and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2014.
Marah has been supporting breastfeeding mothers and families for over 5 years. She a firm believer that breastfeeding is not the only best method of feeding baby, but the normal way to feed a baby. She is a strong supporter of mother-to-mother support to help mothers achieve their breastfeeding goals. As a lactation consultant, she has a wide variety of experience in clinical settings, support groups, & online communities. Additional, Marah has personal experience with sore/nipples, latch issues, weight gain concerns, tongue-tie, pumping at work, pregnancy/tandem nursing and weaning.
She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Liberty University but has chosen to stay at home with her children. Marah lives in the outskirts of Waynesboro, PA with her husband and children. Aside from breastfeeding, she is passionate about her family, photography, babywearing, gardening, CrossFit and sewing.
