Megan is an international board-certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) and an accredited La Leche League Leader (LLLL). Since giving birth to her first child in 1998, Megan has been an advocate for breastfeeding and its many benefits to mother and baby. She informally counseled family and friends for years while working at a career in the publishing field, then decided it was time to pursue her passion rather than a paycheck. She strives to help women trust their bodies and the breastfeeding relationship, and to feel empowered by the breastfeeding experience.
Megan has experience helping families with low supply, tongue and lip tie, relactation and induced lactation, sore nipples, breast infection, non-latching babies, and more. As she was once a full-time, work outside the home, breastfeeding mother, Megan has lots of experience with pumping and the variety of issues that accompany returning to work. Megan lives in Washington County, MD, with her four children. She enjoys distance running and volunteering with La Leche League of Hagerstown.
